Gearing Up for the 2025 Food Truck Season

Are you ready for a summer of fun and food trucks? In the culinary kitchen, our team is busy preparing for our best season yet!

Our new chef, William Ruehr, is excited to explore this new-to-him venture and learn everything there is to know about our food trucks. He aims to create a unique and memorable experience with our trucks this year, and has made changes to the menus and scheduling to ensure each event we attend receives the care, attention, and excellent service it deserves.

Did you know we can cater your event with one of our food trucks? We can use one of our catering menus or our current food truck menus to cater your wedding, family gathering, or party! If you don't see the perfect menu, ask us, and we can make changes to better suit your event.

Events

We want to support your event or gathering with our food trucks and kitchen services. Your event is unique, and offers an experience we want to share with you.

Weddings: Your special day is important to us; we love celebrating couples through our food! Whether your gathering is 40 or 200, our food trucks can accommodate guests with nearly any menu. From dinners to midnight lunches, our trucks are ready and eager to make your big day even more memorable.

Employee/Customer Appreciations: Everyone deserves recognition and appreciation for their hard work and dedication. Our food trucks are ready to serve your employees and customers with delicious and hearty meals. We can set up right at your location and serve everyone within a tight schedule, leaving your crew and customers full of food and appreciation.

Festivals: Our team is always excited to participate in your unique events. From Centrefest to Days-of-Yore to Westerner Days, we have attended events with various unique audiences and entertainment. Our trucks are a community favourite, and we even try to provide one featured item tailored to the theme of your event.

And Many More: There is no limit to the type of events we will attend. New and challenging projects are an exciting venture in the culinary kitchen, and we want the food service of each event we attend to be memorable.

New this Year

We are approaching this season differently by focusing on two food trucks, The Food Dude and Totally Chill Ice Cream Truck. This means we will have limited availability and a maximum of two vehicles booked daily. However, this shift ensures your event is given the attention and service it deserves.

The Food Dude is a community favourite with its delicious variety of smash burgers and poutines. We have added some new additions to the menu, such as cotton candy, cinnamon sugar mini donuts, and fried favourites. You do not want to miss the opportunity to have this truck at your next event or festival.

Our Totally Chill Ice Cream Truck makes any summer day better with its 12 ice cream flavors, root beer and orange floats, housemade cold brews, and ice cream sandwiches. It is the perfect truck for family events, festivals, outdoor movies, and appreciations.

You can find our complete menus here!

Booking Information

The changes to the scheduling process (reducing the number of trucks allowed to go out each day and focusing on two trucks) will allow us to ensure we consistently provide delicious and unique food at each event we attend. Your event deserves a food team that strives for excellent service, communication, and food.

Our trucks operate under minimum sales requirements determined during the booking process based on the distance from the food bank and the length of the event. Our trucks can travel within a 60 km radius of the Red Deer Food Bank, and additional travel charges may apply for events outside of Red Deer.

If you would like more information on our trucks, or would like to move forward with booking us for your event, please get in touch with Trista Mask, our Business Development Coordinator:

Email: trista@rdfb.ca

Phone: 587-377-4483

We recommend scheduling a food truck ASAP as we are filling up quickly.

Did you know all the food trucks are owned and operated by the Red Deer Food Bank? They are a social enterprise that aims to raise funds to support our emergency hamper program. For more information on how you can get involved and what a social enterprise is, please visit here.
