Spooky Spider Peanut Butter Cookies (Session 1)

  • Red Deer Food Bank 7429 - 49 Avenue, Bay 10 Red Deer, AB Canada (map)

Looking for something for the kids to do on their days off from school? They can bake Halloween-themed cookies in Kitchen 49!

These crispy critters will set a sweet and spooky mood for the kids’ Halloween lunch bags. Chef Maia will lead kids through making their dough, shaping and baking the base, then decorating their appetizing arachnids to take home.

At the end of class, your child will learn:

  • The importance of keeping the kitchen clean and sanitary

  • Why certain ingredients are mixed in specific orders

  • How simple 'extras' take something plain and make it special

Each child will leave with one dozen of their own spidery creations to share with the family. (Or, hide in their bedroom. Check their sock drawer in the morning.)

We have two age groups open for class: Ages 6 - 8 (10 am - 12:30 pm) and 9 - 11 (2 pm - 4:30 pm).

$20

Price includes all ingredients, instruction, recipe, and a Halloween-themed container to transport their treats home.

Class times and age groups are subject to change depending on registration and demand.
